About Steve Atkinson – 30 Years of Real Estate Experience
I am Steve Atkinson and I offer exceptional service based on my experience of almost 900 home sales. I have embraced the ‘American Dream’ of home ownership and personally bought and sold 47 homes as investment properties and personal residences.
I have ‘Designed & Built’ luxury homes in communities with estates valued between $2,000,000 to $10,000,000. I personally drafted the architectural blueprints and contracted the construction with my California General Contractor B1 License. I have remodelled over 20 homes with budgets from $30,000 to $500,000 and understand how to stage a home to maximise profits.
I purchased my first home at 19 in London, England and by 26 I had bought 6 homes. My ‘Day Job’ was running a Design & Advertising Studio. My clients were many of the top retailers in Britain and I contracted through the largest Advertising Agencies; Saatchi & Saatchi, J. Walter Thompson and Ogilvy & Mather amongst others. After 10 years I realized that Advertising paid the bills but Real Estate was my passion.
I emigrated to California in 1988, identified a Gated Community in Granite Bay, CA to begin a new home construction business and formed ‘Atkinson Development’. I designed and drafted blueprints for my ‘Spec’ homes, secured my ‘B-1′ CA General Contractors License and built custom homes through the early 1990′s. I took on contract homes as the General Contractor and also designed the floorplans and drafted blueprints for a 300+ unit subdivision called ‘Boulder Glen’. In May 1990 I obtained my CA Real Estate license for the purpose of marketing the homes I had built.
By the early 90′s I had decided to focus my real estate career on Selling rather than Building. In 1996 I was Community Sales Manager for Brookfield Homes, a community of 450 homes in Brisbane, just south of San Francisco. In 2000 I joined KBHome and sold three communities, starter homes as well as Golf Course Estates at Deer Ridge in Brentwood. Throughout my Real Estate career I have been a Top Producer and in 2004 closed over $63,000,000 in revenue. In 2004 I left New Home sales to focus on my own brokerage utilizing all facets of my previous experience.
